Upon completion, the projects are expected to produce enough clean electricity to power nearly 240,000 homes in the US.

SGRE will use its site in Hutchinson, Kansas, to assemble the SWT-2.3-108 and SWT-2.625-120 units.

“Upon completion, the projects are expected to produce enough clean electricity to power nearly 240,000 homes in the US.”

The company also plans to produce turbine blades for the projects at its facility in Fort Madison, Iowa. Additional requirements will be fulfilled at the company’s other North America-based manufacturing sites.

SGRE Onshore CEO Ricardo Chocarro said: “These orders demonstrate the confidence that our customers have in our combined product offerings.

“With our strong product portfolio we are able to provide competitive products meeting our customers’ specific needs in North America, a market that is critical to the success of this company.”
