The new turbine is scheduled to be operational in the middle of July 2015.

MHPS is responsible for the manufacturing of the gas turbine as part of the contract, which has been awarded by Harbin Guanghan Gas Turbine, the engineering, procurement and construction EPC contractor of the project.

The gas turbine will be a key component of a gas turbine combined cycle (GTCC) power generation plant which has approximately 50MW output.

The GTCC plant will be the co-generation system’s core equipment, which will respond to the Ningbo area’s robust demand for steam and electric power.

NKTP is a thermal energy supplier under the corporate umbrella of Ningbo Development & Investment Group, an energy investment firm under Ningbo City’s direct management, and also supplies steam and electric power to nearby high-technology development and residential zones.

The H-25 is a heavy-duty gas turbine designed to provide high level of output and efficiency, combined with outstanding reliability and low maintenance needs.

The Unit No.1 at the thermal power plant, upon replacement with H-25, would realise around 12% improvement in efficiency.
