By GlobalDataThe project is being developed by Brockton Power. The project is currently owned by Siemens Financial Services with a stake of 25%, Advanced Power and Jay Cashman.
It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant will run on Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel. The fuel will be procured from Bay State Gas interconnection.
The project cost is expected to be around $350m.
The Dual-Fuel fired project consists of 1 steam turbine with 103MW nameplate capacity.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.
Contractors Involved
Siemens will be the turbine supplier for the Dual-Fuel fired project. The company is expected to provide 1 unit of SGT6-5000F gas turbine with 197MW nameplate capacity.
Siemens is expected to be the supplier electric generator for the project.
