T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in Q3 2021 with 217 tenders and a 36.5% share, followed by Power Plant with 125 tenders and a 21% share and Generation Equipment with 109 tenders and an 18.3% share during the quarter.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 19 tenders and a 90.5% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: one tender and a 4.8% share
- Project Implementation: one tender and a 4.8% share.
Solar is top technology for Asia-Pacific smart grid tenders in Q3 2021
Looking at smart grid tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, solar accounted for two tenders with a 66.7% share, followed by thermal with one tender and a 33.3% share.
