Testing and Commissioning of 66/220kV 100MVA Refurbished Transformer

The experienced test engineers at Spring Power Solutions have successfully tested and commissioned a refurbished Wilson Power transformer for a windfarm in Portland, Australia. When one of the main power transformers of a wind farm substation in Portland, Victoria is due for maintenance and had to be refurbished and re-winded, getting it back to service as soon as possible is of paramount importance. Without the combined effect of the said transformer the windfarm can only operate at the maximum efficiency of 66%. The maximum amount of renewable energy is not collected during this maintenance period and understandably maximum profit is not generated.
