Vacuum Drying of Gas Pipelines
By PneumoforeGazprom used Pneumofore vacuum systems for the drying process during the commissioning of gas pipelines. This report shows the remarkable results of a 19km-long (12 miles) and 700mm-wide (28in) pipeline with a water film of average 0.5mm (0.01in), which was dried down to the dew point of -27°C (-16.6°F).
This solution was later extended for the drying of thousands of gas pipeline kilometers in Russia, with the improved performance of -52°C (-61.6°F) dew point.
