Rheinmetall has been elected to support the challenging new plant construction at Datteln, where E.ON is currently building the first coal-fired power plant with an 1,100MW super-critical boiler. The engineering simulator will be used to streamline the working process during the construction, commissioning and operation phases of the project, and thus create cost savings.
Replica characteristics of the simulator is achieved by the outstanding high accuracy of the process models as well as the use of an emulation of the plant I&C which is contributed by the manufacturer ABB. The quality of the simulation will be certified in stages over the course of the construction phase.
Rheinmetall’s engineering simulator provides for an efficient tool, to improve process optimisation and quality management as well as to allow for early full-scope operator training.
