On 12 December 2009, Ritz broke ground for a €2 million project at Wirges, enlarging the production site for transformers to a total of 8,000m² and thus doubling the production area and securing employment on site.
As a result, final assembly can be relocated from Oberursel (near Frankfort) to Wirges. This step will further increase efficiency in production and optimize the work flow in this field.
Ritz thus strengthens its position as a provider of cast resin transformers within the range of up to 25MVA/36kV and will be able to satisfy its customers’ future requirements.
