DAMM Cellular Systems A/S is one of the world leaders in reliable, rugged and easily scalable Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) and digital mobile radio (DMR) communication systems for industrial, commercial and public safety customers.
We have over 35 years of experience in providing professional radio communications for a broad range of mission-critical applications.
Our proven and reliable systems are suitable for the world’s most demanding environments and adverse conditions in offshore and energy operations.
Energy sector communication specialists
DAMM has worked with major global energy companies and understands the critical importance of operational efficiency, as well as fail-safe data and voice communications within the energy industry.
DAMM TetraFlex® offers immediate voice and data communication to comply with manufacturing site alarm handling, logistics, security and operational coordination and worker safety regulations.
Our radio communication solutions are ideal for daily operations and user-defined team coordination. Highly flexible voice communication services provide crystal-clear voice quality even in a noisy environment. Services support individual private and group calls, as well as public switched telephone network (PSTN) communications.
In an emergency, the system initiates emergency calls, man-down facilities and override functions.
Optimised installation for harsh and remote environments
Ruggedised, compact and IP65-encapsulated single-tech and multi-tech base stations are suitable for outdoor installations in harsh environments, placed directly in masts even under extreme temperature and humidity conditions. This provides an optimised coverage area and low installation cost.
The flexible network can combine indoor and outdoor systems, run four different technologies separately or together, including TETRA, TEDS, DMR and analogue, as well as run TETRA in very high frequency (VHF), providing optimum coverage in rural areas.
Data and communications availability and scalability
Complete 100% uptime is delivered through full redundancy of components and critical system information, as well as the system’s intelligent decentralised network architecture. In the network, information is constantly replicated to all sites, allowing data and call traffic to run uninterrupted in case one or more sites lose connection.
DAMM TetraFlex® digital voice and data communications solutions use completely IP-based technology, which enables integrated communications across multiple onshore and offshore sites, logistics facilities and centralised administration. This enhances staff efficiency and safety while ensuring full site flexibility and capacity expansions even during operation.
Secure data communications and monitoring
DAMM TetraFlex® provides data for tracking GPS staff locations. It also enables supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and telemetry data to be used for reporting alarms and failures, as well as collecting data to improve operational performance. The geofencing function can be used to alert the site dispatcher if a subscriber moves into danger zones.
Embedded software applications for increased operational performance
The intuitive DAMM TetraFlex Dispatcher solution allows operational centres to easily dispatch all users. The DAMM TetraFlex® solution incorporates a voice and data recording and replay function, providing effortless incident reconstructions and key statistics related to operational performance.
DAMM TetraFlex® incorporates an easily accessible application programming interface (API) that enables simple customer-designed application integration and development. The open design combined with DAMM’s full IOP with a large range of terminals means that customers can choose their preferred terminal brand and software applications.
DAMM TetraFlex® communication offers easy set-up and transition from existing systems, remote management and low power consumption that enables solar energy use. The system supports simultaneous voice and data communications, allows the user to upload their own map, as well as integrates a high level security and encryption and the ability to run both ultra-high frequency (UHF) and VHF in the same network.
DAMM services and customer support are available worldwide through an exclusive partner network.
