OTN Systems is pleased to announce it has been selected by the Oman Electricity and Transmission Company (OETC) to build a state-of-the-art telecommunication backbone.

The project consists of building a new 10G network based on MPLS-TP for more than 30 substations, as well as the Load Dispatch Center and Backup Center.

“OETC decided to upgrade a number of their systems with the latest cutting-edge packet technology. We are pleased that after thorough evaluation and testing, OETC chose OTN Systems’ XTran solution to build a new future-proof MPLS-TP based solution in their telecommunication network,” says Wisam Alouch, Regional Sales Manager, OTN Systems.

The OTN Systems’ product line XTran was designed from day one with the requirements of the power utilities in mind. Its underlying MPLS-TP technology avoids the complexity of generic telecom solutions developed for service providers. XTran allows utilities to create a communications infrastructure that offers a winning combination of robustness, performance and ease of use.

XTran makes MPLS for Operational Telecom easy.
