ISCO Industries, a pipe supplier and custom manufacturer of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) piping products, has received the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) ISO 9001:2008 quality management system (QMS) certification for its Brendale, Queensland, Australia fabrication facility.
The certificate of registration was issued by FM Approvals, an organization that independently audited and confirmed that ISCO Industries is in conformity with ISO 9001:2008.
ISO 9001:2008 applies to the management processes that influence product or service quality. The scope of the certificate of registration from FM Approvals states: "The sourcing, delivery, manufacturing and equipment rental of piping solutions primarily for high density polyethylene (HDPE) and related products for the infrastructure, landfill, mining and aggregate, industrial, oil and gas gathering, geothermal, culvert lining, power generation, municipal gas and many other markets (exclusions 7.3 design and development planning)."
"An extension of our quality management system to Australia was a natural progression for ISCO. In 2012 we first received the ISO 9001:2008 QMS certificate in both our corporate and Louisville manufacturing locations," said ISCO chief operating officer Lee Mizell. "Now that we also received the certificate at our Australia location, this assures our customers that we have implemented a quality management system that provides them with products and services that meet their requirements."
The effective date of the ISO 9001:2008 certification is March 22, 2013 for ISCO’s Australia location at 264 South Pine Road, Brendale, Queensland, 4500, Australia. ISCO already holds the ISCO 9001:2008 quality management system certificate at its Louisville corporate facility and its manufacturing facility located at 10711 Freeport Court, Louisville, KY 40258.
