UK-based Quartzelec will soon provide its services to Indonesia, having recently made expansions in Malaysia and The Phillippines.
The Powermax 2017 exhibition was opened with general director of Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment, and Electronic Engineering (ILMATE) of the Ministry, I Gusti Putu Suryawirawan, who acknowledged that Indonesia has numerous sources of energy, including renewable, that could be processed into surprising energy potential.
Gusti Putu Suryawirawan said: "If it could be achieved then the needs of the national electricity supply would be fulfilled. If we have sufficient supply of electricity then it will follow that our industry will move forwards."
The event was held between 26-28 July, in Jakarta, Indonesia, and was attended by more than 100 companies from 13 countries, including Indonesia, China, Sweden, Malaysia, the UK, the US, Germany, India, Singapore, Iran, Thailand, Taiwan, and Japan.
One of the participants from Malaysia was Maser & Quartzelec Services Sdn Bhd led by Matt Brown with Power Generation director Steve Cooper, and Sales and Operations manager Leslie Roch.
Design from beginning to installation
Quartzelec is a leading independent service and solutions provider and a technical authority in the field of rotating electrical machines. Within Malaysia, the business operates as Maser and Quartzelec Services Sdn Bhd.
Matt Brown, general manager for Maser and Quartzelec Services confirmed that the company has multiple competencies and technical expertise in the field of low-voltage and high-voltage electrical machines (motors and generators), with significant experience in the field of machine maintenance.
With an enviable 100-year heritage in the field of power generation, the company has been operational in Malaysia since 2012, with offices and workshop facilities in Kuala Lumpur. This in turn has led to expansion into The Philippines.
Matt Brown said he was open and optimistic to having a presence in Indonesia in the next year or two, and said: "We see the development of the country and the potential, we are already working here. It would be good to continue this journey."
Quartzelec is able to support from the beginning of the project with design and engineering services until the final machine and equipment installation, conducting commissioning and continuous maintenance.
