The recent Power-Gen Europe 2011 event at Fiera Milano, Milan, Italy, was a huge success, with almost 15,000 attendees – the highest attendance rate to date.
Along with 600 other companies exhibiting at the show, Gas Turbine Controls Corp and GTC Services experienced wide interest particularly with their new field servicing and training division for the Speedtronic series of controls. Attendees ranging from engineers to high-level executives came by the booth to discuss all of the services provided by Gas Turbine Controls Corp, including supply, repair, asset recovery along with training and field servicing. Although the majority of interest was Speedtronic related, Gas Turbine Controls Corp was thrilled to promote services for other controls systems such as Westinghouse, Rolls-Entronic and Woodward Netcon.
Jonathan Simms, international sales manager for both Gas Turbine Controls Corp and GTC Services, was delighted with the success and overall interest shown at Power-Gen Europe. “This is our fifth time exhibiting at PGE and yet again we have seen an increase in interest. We were thrilled to promote our newest addition to the company, GTC Services, which supports the end-user on the ground by providing Speedtronic experts who can assist in field servicing as well as training. With these additional services we are now able to fully support our customers across the board, whether it be spares, repairs, field servicing, training or even asset recovery.”
Although GTC Services has only been operating for approximately one year, it has a portfolio of training and field servicing projects in the US, Australia, Indonesia, the UK, Middle East and Central America, to name a few. GTC Services has found that as it employs its own Speedtronic experts rather than subcontracting engineers in, it can pass these savings on to customers.
Gas Turbine Controls Corp’s success at Power-Gen Europe is a testament to its ever-growing global presence. It can now boast offices in the UK, Denmark and India, as well as its head office in New York. For this reason it continues to present itself at various shows around the world, including Power-Gen International in the US and Energy Expo in India.
