Gladstone Engineering Alliance (GEA) hosted their annual industry awards night to recognise community achievements in innovation, excellence and collaboration within the competitive industry supply chain.
SOLAFT was nominated for its solution for a Covid-19-affected coal-fired power station baghouse change-out.
We are pleased to say that SOLAFT won the Safety Excellence Award for its Technical Services COVID Safe Team initiative, which allowed a major project to proceed on time. The initiative enabled much needed major filter bag change-out at NRG’s Callide plant, which was in danger of not proceeding due to Covid-19 restrictions placed on off-site contractors being allowed on site.
This was a great initiative and showed the ingenuity and determination to find a solution that was beneficial to our customer but also adhered to SOLAFT’s strict OH&S standards.
