Thanks to its technology and quality level, Tubiflex has more than 600 strategic customers in more than 35 countries worldwide.
Metal expansion joints
Expansion joints are used in processes for compensating possible expansions and displacements, consequence of offsets, and both temperature and pressure variations, even combined with vibrations.
In the industrial division, Tubiflex designs and manufactures expansion joints and bellows for applications in power generation, petrochemical, industrial and steelworks plants.
These high-technology components have to be designed, based on skilled and experienced engineers, strictly considering their application and conditions of use.
These flexible connections can absorb axial, lateral and angular movements. Depending on the type of compensator, movements can also be absorbed in combination. They are suitable for gases and fluids, even at high temperatures.
Expansion joints are produced in stainless steel, such as AISI 304, AISI 321, AISI 316L, AISI 310 AISI 316Ti or, on request, the can be produced in special alloys such as INCONEL, INCOLOY and HASTELLOY.
Our products are engineered according to EJMA and ASME standards and all solutions can be supplied CE-marked in compliance with the pressure equipment directive (97/23/EC).
We provide standard solutions such as:
- Axial, spherical end lateral
- Hinged joints or gimbals
- Universal expansion joints
- Demounting joints
- Pressure balanced joints
- Volume expansion joints
- Bellows
In addition, we offer tailored solutions.
Metal hose assemblies
Based on our wide range of metal flexible hoses production, engineers can choose the best fit among annular corrugated hoses, either mechanical or hydraulic-formed, or helical-formed hoses to provide extra-performance in flexibility and torsion whenever needed.
Thanks to our internal braiding process, performed by machines working with 24-36-48 and 72 strands, we can enhance the resistance of the assemblies to withstand working pressures of up to 400bar.
PTFE hose assemblies
Based on the company’s technology and building capability to both machinery and tooling development, Tubiflex manufactures convoluted PTFE hoses with helical corrugations in multilayer PTFE with reinforced fibreglass covering and high-tensile stainless steel braid.
This process grants an unmatched flexibility and high lifespan, even with a reduced bending radius.
A version in conductive PTFE is also available for the applications where electrostatic charges could be generated due to the kind and speed of the fluid.
When fitted with stainless-steel braiding, these assemblies can withstand working pressures of up to 125bar.
All braids are manufactured in our factory, with machines working with 24-36-48 and 72 strands. Our range includes a special version, flame-proof certified at 800°C for at least 30 minutes.
