From January 2004 KE-Burgmann Bredan A/S has been approved as supplier to MAN B&W Diesel AG in Augsburg. In 2004, MAN B&W’s marine division for 4-stroke engines has placed more than 40 orders for metal expansion joints for installation directly behind the turbo charger.
In September 2004, MAN B&W’s power plant division placed a large order for 32 metal expansion joints with KE-Burgmann Bredan, with sizes ranging from DN 350-1700, as part components for a power plant in Honduras, the “Choloma III”.
For MAN B&W this was also the biggest single order ever placed to the MAN B&W Diesel Group. The order detailed 13 off 18V48/60 engines to drive a 230MW diesel power plant in Honduras. The order to Honduras has been projected by EMCE/ENERSA.
