Our expansion joints are installed worldwide in the utility and power industries, ethanol production plants, auto plant spray booths, cement plants, refineries, the pulp and paper industry, copper smelters and the steel industry.
Belt-style and flanged-style expansion joints
We can supply expansion joints for temperatures from ambient to 1,250°C with axial movements up to 250mm. For temperatures below 525°C, we can fabricate a belt-style or flanged-style expansion joint; temperatures above 525°C require a belt-style expansion joint.
Belt-style expansion joints
Our L500 is a belt-style expansion joint. Operating temperatures are ambient to 525°C at pressures below 3psi. L500 belt-style expansion joints can be supplied spliced or unspliced, with or without bolt holes.
We can supply L500 belt-style expansion joints pre-assembled to an angle frame for bolted installation to existing duct flanges, or as fabric-only for installation on an existing frame.
Flanged-style expansion joints
The LU500 from Johnson Products is a flanged-style expansion joint. Operating temperatures are ambient to 525°C at pressures below 5psi. LU500 flanged-style expansion joints can be supplied spliced or unspliced, with or without bolt holes.
We can provide LU500 flanged-style expansion joints with clamp bars for bolted installation to existing duct flanges, or as fabric-only for installation with existing clamp bars.
High-temperature belt-style expansion joints
Our H2000 is a high-temperature belt-style expansion joint. Operating temperatures are ambient to 1,250°C at pressures below 3psi. H2000 style expansion joints can be supplied spliced or unspliced, with or without bolt holes. We can supply H2000 style expansion joints pre-assembled to a frame for bolted or weld-in installation to existing duct flanges, or as fabric-only for installation on an existing frame.
Expansion joints for industrial air-handling systems
Johnson Products custom fabricates composite-style expansion joints for industrial air-handling systems. Our expansion joints are installed globally and are used for thermal expansion of ductwork, vibration isolation of fans and for misalignment correction of ductwork.
Seals and insulation for expansion joints
All our styles of expansion joints have outer covers chosen for site conditions, PTFE gas seals and inner layers of monofilament fiberglass cloth for operating temperatures. The H2000 style utilizes blanket insulation for temperatures above 525°C.
