In the ducting framework of fluidized bed plants there have been many problems caused by the fabric expansion joints, which have lead to expensive modifications and repairs regularly required. The expansion joints have been lasting only a few months, before failing and causing distortion to the duct and supporting structure. The root cause of the problem is actually attributable to many design issues with complex consequential effects. A main point of the design problem is the high mass of particulate in the gas flow which by sedimentation, results in solidification and restrictive movements.
DEKOMTE de Temple was first faced with this challenge at the Power Plant Mlada Boleslav. A focused technical design study together with a qualified co-operation with the plant operators gave DEKOMTE the opportunity to develop the right solution, which has now been proven as an operable and economical solution with high availability.
Further derived designs have now been installed in the power plant Tissova as well as Ville Berrenrath power plant (RWE Germany).
These cases and power plants have now come to the position of operational experience, that can enable DEKOMTE de Temple to present with confidence a working and proven solution for this application.
Using the experience and expertise DEKOMTE de Temple has gained and continues to develop, similar solutions are also now available for pyrolysis plants or motor (power) plants.
