More than 4,000 expansion joints in the size range of DN 50 – 2200 have received renewals for DNV-GL type approval.
Prior to the merger of the inspection bodies, DNV and Germanischer Lloyd (GL), Belman had type approval for its expansion joints through GL.
The type approval has now been renewed through the new company DNV-GL.
The company has extended the scope of the type approval to cover the expansion joints featured in its expansion joint catalogue, which includes more than 4,000 expansion joints.
The expansion joints in the catalogues are calculated according to EJMA. The company has now obtained two DNV-GL type approvals, including one certificate for exhaust applications and a second certificate for the rest of the catalogue items.
