Wood Group GTS has been awarded a contract with a major oil and gas producer and distributer in China, to exchange and overhaul a Solar Taurus™ 60 gas turbine in operation along the Shaanxi-Beijing pipeline. This pipeline is used to transport natural gas from the Shaanxi province in northwestern China to Beijing and its surrounding areas.

Mark Papworth, CEO of Wood Group GTS, said: “Our customer owns and operates pipeline networks throughout China producing approximately 80% of the country’s natural gas. We are delighted Wood Group GTS has been selected to service their Taurus™ 60 gas turbine and we look forward to building on this success in China.”
