Midwest Valves & Controls has been working with one of its customers supplying valves used on hot lime dust. For these applications an Ebro HP111 high-performance double eccentric butterfly valve has been chosen, fitted with their double acting actuator and switch box MSK with micro limit switches to indicate valve open and closed. With a carbon steel body (GS-C25) and an R-PTFE seat a maximum temperature of 230°C is achieved for process pressure less than 8 bar. With a stainless steel body (1.4408) and inconel seat a maximum of 450°C is possible below certain process pressures.
