Watlow, a global leader in industrial thermal solutions, is excited to announce its participation at CHEMUK 2025, the UK’s premier chemical industries exhibition, taking place May 21-22, 2025, at the NEC in Birmingham. Visitors can find Watlow at Hall 5, Booth N40, where the company will highlight its cutting-edge advancements in thermal management and electrification for the chemical and petrochemical sectors.
Watlow’s booth will focus on three key themes:
- Thermal Solutions for Processing Industries: Showcasing Watlow’s integrated Thermal Loop approach for optimized performance.
- Electrify Your Thermal Process: Demonstrating how electric heating eliminates the need for CO²-emitting gas-fired burners.
- Decarbonization through Electrification: Highlighting sustainable solutions to reduce environmental impact while boosting efficiency and yield.
Attendees are invited to explore how Watlow’s innovative technologies can transform thermal processes, offering compact, cost-effective, and highly controllable alternatives to traditional heating methods.
Keynote Presentation on Electrification On Thursday, May 22, from 13:20 to 13:35 on Stage 4 (Chemical & Process Engineering Stage), Watlow’s Global Power Applications Manager, Grégoire Quéré, will deliver a compelling presentation titled: “Transforming Thermal Processes: The Impact of Innovative Electrification in Chemistry to Achieve Higher Efficiency and Yield in Chemical and Petrochemical.”
The session will explore the electrification of the full thermal loop, with a deep dive into power control strategies to maximize efficiency and output in chemical production. Grégoire will compare electric process heaters to gas-fired alternatives, contrasting size, cost, and controllability, and discuss critical considerations for successful thermal management. As industries strive to decarbonize, this presentation will outline how electrification can replace CO²-heavy gas burners, supporting sustainability without compromising performance.
