plastocor®, provider of smart, simple, sustainable solutions for corrosion and erosion problems in the cooling water system, has extended its sustainable solution to working in confined spaces during Covid-19 to wider society.

plastocor® is committed to providing stability, reliability and continuity of business to our customers during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. During the past few months, we had a successful and safe return to on-site work in full compliance with Covid-19 protocols. In response to staying protected and staying safe while onsite where social distancing proves challenging, and in cooperation with STEINROHNER, we launched Masks4Good – Solidarity in Motion.

plastocor® Masks4Good initiative is a simple and effective solution that enables people to do their job in a safe and protected way while respecting Covid-19 guidelines. While in recent months, many industries have been hit hard economically by the current pandemic, in particular SMEs, it is not only businesses that have suffered. Many small, local non-profit organisations have seen their provision of essential social services interrupted. With this in mind, plastocor® Masks4Good aimed to extend our sustainable solution to working in confined spaces during Covid-19 to wider society, focusing on helping these organisations to continue delivering their essential services.

plastocor® Team has carried out essential, on-site maintenance work at various locations in recent months such as at the EDF DAMPIERRE NPP, where work involved applying plastocor® Inlet System to approximately 64,000 tube sheet inlet and outlet tubes. We also successfully applied plastocor® High-Performance Coatings to six water boxes and plastocor® Cladding System to six tube sheets at the EDF BELLEVILLE NPP, all in full compliance with Covid-19 regulations.

In keeping with the spirit of plastocor® Masks4Good initiative, we made donations of non-medical masks to non-profit organisations based in the vicinity of our worksites. The reusable and washable masks were delivered to organisations, providing essential social services. From the appreciation that was expressed when delivering the donated masks, we recognise how a simple gesture can mean so much more, especially to those working on the frontline.

Recipients of donated masks included La Garderie Péri-Scolaire in Dampierre-en-Burly, an after-school child-minding facility. In Belleville, we donated masks to La Passerelle Berrichonne, a grocery shop where people in need can purchase products at a reduced price. In Gien to La Fraternité Giennoise, which delivers food aid to those in need.

plastocor® Masks4Good initiative is open to all and we invite you to get involved. If you have a company and wish to donate masks, please contact us to find out how to proceed. If you are an individual and wish to purchase Masks4Good for your personal use, we can recommend social projects that would benefit greatly from your kind donation upon your purchase. Please visit our dedicated website.

Your purchase also helps SMEs negatively affected by the ongoing pandemic. Having created this partnership with STEINROHNER and seeing the benefits from the donation of masks, we, at plastocor®, know that the best way to come back from this crisis is together. These times call for solidarity and teamwork – plastocor® Masks4Good is ready to deliver.
