All the electricity Top Cable consumes in its Spanish factories and installations comes from Green Energy sources.

This action is aligned with its #movingreen Strategic Sustainability Plan to transform the company into a Company that is increasingly respectful of the Environment, which is based on four pillars:

  • Use of renewable energies
  • Recycling of all materials used in the production chain
  • Reduction of energy consumption (in particular fossil fuel consumption)
  • Sustainable packaging and logistics

GREEN ENERGY AT ALL PRODUCTION CENTERS

The headquarters in Rubí (Barcelona) is equipped with more than 4,500 panels covering two facilities, with a total capacity of 2.0 MW and an annual energy production of 2,490 MWh. The Sallent (Barcelona) facilities have surpassed 10,500 installed solar panels. These are distributed across 3 buildings and generate a total capacity of 4.2 MW, producing an annual energy of 4,779 MWh.

In Bellpuig (Lleida), there’s a covered facility with 3,208 installed panels generating a total capacity of 1.3 MW and producing 1,516 MWh of energy annually. Finally, the solar self-consumption project in Binaced (Huesca) is being consolidated. It has recently started operating partially, generating 0,6MWp. The project’s capacity will reach up to 842 kWp, projected to maximize the performance of this installation.

REDUCING ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT WITH GREEN ENERGY

MovingGreen®, which looks ahead to the year 2030, responds to the Company’s firm conviction of the importance of reducing in full measure the environmental impact. “With the MovingGreen® initiative, we are making a decisive step towards the consolidation of the “green spirit”, that has always allowed Top Cable’s actions” highlights Jordi Parera, President of Top Cable.

This initiative is mainly based on four concepts: the use of green energy, the recycling of all materials used in a production chain and the reduction of energy consumption (especially in the case of fossil fuel consumption) and providing sustainable packaging and logistics.
