Babcock Power Services, Inc. a subsidiary of Babcock Power, Inc. of Danvers, MA, announced that Edward Dean has been promoted to president and CEO of Babcock Power Services. He succeeds Theodore Maliszewski, who recently announced his intent to retire in the foreseeable future and has accepted the position of executive director of Babcock Power Services to assist Dean in the transition.
Dean brings to the position over 30 years of operations and management experience in the power industry. He has served as vice president of the western region for Babcock Power Sales since 2008 and previously served as executive vice president of power services for the Foster Wheeler Power Group and led the central region power services business unit as regional vice president. Dean has also worked for Tampella Power Corp., ABB Canada and with Combustion Engineering/ABB.
