Spiral-wound gaskets
The spiral-wound gasket has the mechanical characteristics of a formed-metal spiral strip, rather than the compressive virtues of more traditional gasket materials. This makes it particularly suitable for low or fluctuating bolt loads. The sealing strips, or fillers, are usually graphite and the windings are always made of stainless steel.

Full-face gaskets

Custom-size O-rings
Custom O-rings are available in standard cross-sections (imperial and metric) to any length or ID. They will be molded or spliced using vulcanizing or adhesives, depending upon the application.
Encapsulated O-rings
We can supply encapsulated O-rings where one material is covered with a continuous layer of another material (usually Teflon®).
Metal shims and spacers
Mercer manufactures custom metal shims and spacers in any shape and size for industrial OEM, power generation and petrochemical clients. We can provide a fast turnaround service for metal shims and spacers, no matter how large the quantity ordered.
All metals for our shims and spacers have full material traceability in thicknesses of 0.002in through to 4in. These metals include aluminum, brass, copper, carbon steel, spring steel, stainless steel, inconel, monel, nickel and titanium. Composite materials, micarta and plastics are also available if required.
