OnPower provides complete power system engineering, design, build, and technical support services. The company offers extensive experience in project management and field service of gas turbine power generation systems.
Specific expertise has been achieved using prime movers manufactured by Rolls-Royce Allison, Pratt & Whitney, General Electric and Allied Signal / Lycoming, in addition to speed-reducing gearboxes manufactured by Renk, Allen Gears, Philadelphia Gear, Cincinnati Gear and Lufkin Gear.
Custom-designed power packages
OnPower employs a wide range of industry experts, many with more than 25 years of applied experience in structural engineering, mechanical and electric systems design, controls engineering and support operations. OnPower designs to the established engineering standards API, ANSI, ASME and DNV, although it is not constrained to standard designs.

Engineering design technology in the power industry
Product development includes component evaluations and system FMEA failure analysis. Design methods include PC work stations with Unigraphics 3D modeling capabilities, with AutoCAD® for design and manufacturing. Analysis capabilities are augmented by ANSYS, I-deas, ABAQUS, NASTRAN and Cosmos/M® Finite Element Analysis software. Fluent Software is used to conduct CFD analysis.
Manufacturing and testing facilities for power industry technology
OnPower’s engineering, manufacturing and testing facility is located near Cincinnati, Ohio, on a 17 acre purpose-built campus. Fabrication and assembly space total 75,000ft² with bridge cranes, paint booth, welding processes, light machining and electrical and controls clean room assembly areas. The onsite testing facility offers natural gas and liquid fuel capabilities, a 10MW resistive load bank, 5kV and 15kV, 50Hz / 60Hz switchgear and 480V-400kW auxiliary diesel generator set.
