The project is being developed by Lekela Power, NEK Ghana and Upwind Ayitepa. The project is currently owned by Lekela Power.

The project is expected to generate 400GWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 150,000 households. The project is expected to offset 200,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $525m.

The project will have 140m high towers.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Electricity Company of Ghana under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 225MW.
