Netherlands-based company Eneco has signed an agreement with Royal Schiphol Group to provide 200GWh of green electricity annually for a period of 15 years.
Under the new agreement, Eneco will supply clean energy for all Royal Schiphol Group business including Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Rotterdam The Hague Airport, Eindhoven Airport, and Lelystad Airport from January next year.

By GlobalDataEneco will source electricity from its Vianen windfarm, which is set to be operational next year.
Royal Schiphol Grouppresident and CEO Jos Nijhuis said: “For our new energy contract, we wanted nothing but sustainable power generated in the Netherlands.
“We feel that the most important elements of this collaboration with Eneco are that all the Schiphol Group airports are involved and that additional sustainable energy sources will be developed in the Netherlands.
“This will allow our airports to increase their sustainability and offer economic benefits.”
With the latest deal, Eneco also aims to make new investments in windfarms and other sustainable energy sources.
