Globally, the total confirmed cases of Covid-19 have reached over 54,482,000 with over 1,318,000 deaths and 35,027,000 recoveries.
The US has the highest number of cases and is trending upwards. India has the second highest number of cases, and while trending downwards and appears to be reaching a plateau.
The US surpassed 11 million total confirmed cases on Sunday 15 November. The US reported over 150,000 average daily new cases in the last seven days. As of 12 November, the US positive test rate is 6.5%.
On 15 November India reported 41,100 new cases the lowest number of new cases since its peak in September.
In Europe several countries have placed restrictions to limit the spread of the virus.

In Spain each autonomous region has set their own restrictions.
Catalonia has closed all bars and restaurants until 23 November, social gatherings have been limited to a maximum of 6 people. Schools in France, the UK and Catalonia remain open.
On 5 November Spain’s test positive rate was 8.7% and on 8 November France recorded a positive test rate of 10%.
In May the WHO recommend the positive test rate stay below 5% for at least two weeks before countries should consider reopening the economy.
