By GlobalDataUpon completion, the wind farm will have the capacity to generate approximately 50GWh of power, which will be equal to nearly 39kt of avoided CO2 emission annually.
Through an organic growth process, ERG intends to expand its footprint in one of the most important European countries for wind power development.
Prior to securing the wind power project, ERG through its subsidiary ERG Power Generation completed the acquisition of three energy companies.
The companies Parc Eolien du Melier, Parc Eolien de la Vallée de Torfou and Epuron Energies Renouvelables were acquired from Impax New Energy Holding Cooperatief, a Dutch firm held by Impax New Energy Investors II.
Currently, Parc Eolien du Melier operates an 8MW wind farm and Parc Eolien de la Vallée de Torfou owns an 18MW wind farm.
Epuron Energies Renouvelables owns a pipeline of nearly 750MW at varying stages of development.
The transaction is expected to increase ERG’s installed capacity in France to 300MW by the end of this year.
Furthermore, the company will be able to expand and step up its organic growth path in accordance with the targets set in the Business Plan.
