Vestas has secured a 795MW order to supply turbines for the OranjeWind offshore wind project, a joint venture between RWE and TotalEnergies.
The project, previously known as Hollandse Kust West VII, will be located 53km from the Dutch coast in the North Sea.
Vestas will supply, deliver and commission 53 V236-15.0MW turbines.
Vestas will begin turbine installation in 2027. On completion, it will provide maintenance under a five-year service agreement, followed by a long-term operational support contract.
Vestas president for Northern and Central Europe Nils de Baar stated: “OranjeWind sets a high bar for technological innovations and sustainability, and we are delighted to deliver our solutions, including our offshore flagship wind turbine, for this project in the Netherlands.
“Our entire team is looking forward to working together with the OranjeWind project team on this exciting and ambitious wind farm in the North Sea.”
