Suzlon Group, an Indian renewables solutions provider, has secured orders for wind energy projects totalling 402MW from Juniper Green Energy.
The projects will be developed at a site in Fatehgarh, a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan.
Suzlon will deliver 134 wind turbine generators with a capacity of 3MW each and featuring hybrid lattice tubular towers, manage the project’s foundation, erection and commissioning processes, and deliver comprehensive operations and maintenance services.
The project will supply electricity to 331,000 households and offset 1.3 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
The orders represent repeat business for Suzlon’s 3MW, S144-140m turbines from Juniper Green Energy.
Suzlon Group vice-chairman Girish Tanti said: “Juniper Green Energy has been a long-term, repeat customer for us, and we are delighted to partner with them again. This order helps us expand our footprint in Rajasthan. The electricity generated from these projects will help realise the vision of the Rajasthan government to serve the people of the state with green energy.
