India-based Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has secured multiple orders for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of 135 G114-2.0MW and 28 135 G114-2.0MW turbines across 26 sites with a combined total of 326MW.
With a planned installed capacity ranging between 2MW and 60MW, the projects are expected to be commissioned by March this year.
Siemens Gamesa India onshore business CEO Ramesh Kymal said: “These orders show a positive sign of development in the market and it certainly boosts our confidence significantly as we gear up towards the next growth phase for Siemens Gamesa in India.
“With the support of our loyal customers and an efficient team we are looking forward to a great 2018.”
The firm has also signed two agreements for the supply of 95 of its G132-3.465MW wind turbines for the Midway Wind project in Texas, US, totalling 330MW.
One of the contracts involves a ten-year service and maintenance agreement with Apex Clean Energy, while the second customer has not been disclosed.
