Spanish company Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) has received a contract from Adani Green Energy in India for wind turbines with a total capacity of 473MW.
According to the contract, SGRE will supply 215 of its SG 2.2-122 wind turbines for a project in Fatehgarh, Rajasthan. It will also install and pre-commission the wind turbines.

SGRE says this is one of the largest wind projects in India and the largest order in the country on record for the company.

The companies expect to commission the wind project by September next year.
Siemens Gamesa previously signed contracts for several projects with Adani, covering a 391.2MW capacity. Of this, 87.6MW is already commissioned with the remaining under construction phase.
In another development, SGRE has signed ten-year service agreements with an undisclosed customer for two wind facilities in North America.
Featuring Senvion MM92-2.05 wind turbines, the two facilities have a combined capacity of 184MW.
As per the agreement, SGRE has agreed to offer services such as remote monitoring, supply chain access and speciality tooling, design and engineering support, and software updates.
