By GlobalData“We are now committed to managing the wind farm for Fontavis to ensure a safe operation and to deliver the greatest possible return of investment.”
Situated approximately 250km north of Stockholm, the wind farm consists of nine Nordex N117 turbines with a capacity of 3.7MW each, delivering a 33MW total capacity.
Orrberget will deliver 96GWh a year, providing electricity for the equivalent of 19,200 households. The wind farm will offset 56,700 tonnes of greenhouse emissions per year.
Fontavis director Thomas Vogt said: “With the completion of another wind farm in Sweden with OX2, Fontavis again demonstrates its competence and ability to generate attractive deals and successfully implement them with the right partner.”
The Orrberget wind farm is Fontavis’s third onshore wind project in Sweden, along with the Stigshöjden and Bondön wind farm.
The Stigshöjden wind farm, the first joint project between Fontavis and OX2, was built in 2017 and has a capacity of 21.6MW, with commissioning carried out at the end of 2019.
The Bondön wind farm was commissioned in 2008 and consists of seven turbines totalling to 17.5MW.
