Nordex Group has secured three new contracts from an existing customer in Turkey to supply 47 multi-megawatt wind turbines.
Under the deal, Nordex will supply N131/3600 and N131/3900 turbines, which will have a combined installed capacity of approximately 180MW.
Additionally, Nordex has entered an agreement with the unnamed customer to provide multi-year services to turbines supplied.
Nordex intends to begin delivery of turbines for the first windfarm from September.
With an established large network of service stations and a market share of nearly 30%, Nordex is reported to be one of the leading suppliers of windpower systems in Turkey.
Nordex Europe sales head Ibrahim Oezarslan said: “This together with our ideally suited products ensuring a high-capacity factor in the projects was the decisive reason for our success.”
