Vestas has secured an order to supply and install 25 of its V136-3.45MW turbines for a new windfarm being developed by Eltech Anemos in Kassidiaris, Greece.
The turbines will be capable of producing a total of 90MW of energy and the complex will be located in Epirus region in northwestern Greece. Delivery of the turbines is set to begin in Q1, 2018.
In addition, the new deal features a 20-year Active Output Management 4000 (AOM4000) service agreement.
Vestas' Mediterranean president Marco Graziano said: “Building the largest wind park in Greece underlines Vestas’ market-leading position and we are pleased to partner with Eltech Anemos once again for another landmark project.
“By introducing the V136-3.45MW to the Greek market in 3.6 power optimised mode, we are also raising the bar for energy output in the market and I am confident the Kassidiaris project will strengthen our partnership even further.”
In 2015, Vestas signed an agreement with Eltech Anemos for supplying turbines for the 40MW Lyrkio wind project in Greece.
