US-based renewable energy company SunLink has been chosen by Swinerton Renewable Energy (SRE) to deliver its GeoPro fixed tilt solution for a new 165MW portfolio of solar ground mount projects.

Located in Florida, the solar portfolio comprises three projects in Navarre, Pensacola, and Valparaiso, which are being built by Panasonic-powered Coronal Energy.

Under the terms of the deal, SunLink’s structural and electrical engineers worked in collaboration with a team from SRE to supply an upgraded GeoPro design.

SunLink SRE's team vice-president Jonathan Eastwood said: “It takes proven, sophisticated engineering excellence and product solutions to support the largest solar projects in the world.

“Our partners turn to us because we deliver on both counts and they attest that we shine when it comes to utility-scale solar system optimisation and customer service.

The solarpower facilities are being developed on the property of the US Department of Defense (DoD) as part of the Gulf Coast Solar Centre portfolio in cooperation with the US Air Force, US Navy, and investor-owned electric utility Gulf Power.

While work on the project is already underway, their construction is scheduled to be completed in the summer of this year.

The GeoPro solution is in line with the three projects’ mechanical and electrical designs and their use of solar modules installed by US-based company First Solar.
