ESCP Europe Business School students are set to begin a two-week European road trip using electric vehicles (EV) to support a sustainable, low-carbon method of transport.
The ESCP Europe electric vehicle road trip (EVRT) will run from 25 April to 10 May and see a fleet of EVs transporting several participants across 6,500km.
Students and staff will join international media and major energy industry officials to encourage EV adoption as a realistic means of reducing emissions to help lead to carbon-neutral transport.
The EV fleet will commute using the latest in clean technologies and performance innovations.
ESCP Europe Global EVRT alumnus and founder Ben Pullen said: "This is a road trip with a difference: we provide information on EVs in a fun and engaging way on the road and at conferences, empowering people to make the right choices about clean transportation, new energy and sustainable living.
"We aim to showcase new technology, engage communities through excitement and support and test existing infrastructures in the move to a cleaner future. We believe that if you give people the right information, they will make the right choices.

By GlobalData"The world needs to be made aware of the energy challenges we face and how the adoption of EV travel can help to meet these challenges."
As part of the EVRT, participants will visit five of ESCP Europe Business School’s six European campuses, which include Berlin, Madrid, London, Paris and Turin, covering ten 12 major European cities across a total of ten countries.
The road trip team will also participate in a wide range high-level green mobility conferences and roundtable discussions on the future of EV technology, infrastructure and adoption, energy efficiency, renewables and their primary role worldwide, as well as climate change.
In addition, the EVRT programme will enable participants to visit manufacturing facilities of some major automobile companies. The first European road trip was conducted last year, covering four ESCP Europe campuses and seven countries.
