Clean energy solutions provider Asia Clean Capital (ACC) and Toshiba Mitsubishi Electric Industrial Systems Corporation (TMEIC) have agreed to co-develop a 200MW solar pipeline in China.
Under the agreement, ACC will construct and finance the solar systems, while TMEIC will provide technical support, equipment, and other services.
ACC's CEO Thomas Lapham said: “TMEIC is a global leader in solar inverter manufacturing, having developed the world’s first super-large inverter of one-megawatt in 1983.
“Cooperation between ACC and TMEIC will allow both companies to further accelerate their development of the red-hot Chinese solar market.”
The partnership was initiated after ACC invested in a series of projects, including a 20MW shipyard solar station to be located in East China. For this, TMEIC will provide the inverters and ACC will construct and own the project.
In a separate development, ACC has signed a distribution agreement with Ten K Solar, a US-based manufacturer of photovoltaic systems for the mainland China market. As per the terms of the deal, ACC will develop solar projects in China using Ten K’s patented technology, and Ten K will provide equipment for the projects from its Shanghai production facility.
