SunPower Corporation has reached an agreement to acquire SolarWorld Americas, a solar panel manufacturer based in the US.
SunPower intends to introduce its advanced P-series solar panel manufacturing technology apart from manufacturing SolarWorld Americas’ legacy products, through the acquisition.
Also based in the US, the acquirer company provides solar solutions and services.
Algonquin Power & Utilities (APUC) has reached an agreement with an entity related to Abengoa to acquire an additional 16.5% equity interest in Atlantica Yield for $345m.
The transaction is a continuation of APUC’s 25% stake acquisition in Atlantica Yield in March 2018.
APUC is engaged in power generation, while the target company is engaged in the ownership, management and acquisition of renewable energy, conventional power and electric transmission lines and water contracted assets.

Arista Renewable Energies’ wind energy services and expertise will be integrated into Power Factors’ current software and products range, as part of the transaction.
The acquisition will enable Power Factors to strengthen its monitoring capabilities of renewable energy projects while helping Arista Renewable Energies display its technical capabilities in renewable energy advanced analytics.

Balmoral Offshore Engineering has acquired Seaproof Solutions, a Norwegian cable protection system provider, with the aim of expanding into the offshore renewables market.
Based in the UK, the acquirer company manufactures buoyancy, insulation and elastomer products.
