M&As this week: Re Sipar, Enel Russia, Powerstar

Re Sipar srl (RSS) has reached an agreement with Cogenpower plc to acquire heat and power generation company Cogenpower srl for a purchase consideration of £1m ($1.31m).

Founder and CEO of Cogenpower plc Francesco Vallone fully owns Re Sipar, which will also gain access to Cogenpower srl’s subsidiaries Cogenpower Energia and Cogenpower Gas & Power.

Enel Russia has acquired a 60% stake in power distribution company OJSC Teploprogress.

Both the companies involved in the transaction are based in Russia.

Powerstar has acquired Bromsgrove Winding Services (BWS).

Powerstar expects the acquisition to provide more effective and efficient service to their customers during future reforms taking place within the energy industry.

HSBC provided working capital facilities to BWS for the acquisition.

Powerstar is engaged in providing cutting edge energy saving solutions, while BWS manufactures transformers.
