Innogy has reached an agreement to acquire a portfolio of 23 windfarms from Primus Energie in Germany.
With an overall capacity of 400MW, the projects are currently at different stages of development.

Under the deal, Primus will also be service provider for Innogy until the farms are commissioned.
Innogy renewables chief operating officer Hans Bünting said: “We want to develop wind energy and enhance our portfolio in our home market, as well. To do so, we are looking selectively for cooperations with other project developers.
“With Primus, we have an experienced, competent and regionally well-positioned development partner at our side.
“Together we can now get started in Thuringia, too, and jointly achieve successes in the wind business. We will offer flexible participation models to local authorities, municipal utilities and anyone wishing to become a wind farmer.”

By GlobalDataInogy and Primus Energie intend to implement the project pipeline in accordance with guidelines set by the Thuringian Energy and GreenTech Agency (ThEGA).
Primus Energie managing director Jürgen Meyer-Menz said: “To be able to develop projects successfully even during turbulent times, we have brought in Innogy as an extremely experienced, financially strong wind allrounder which has proven its competitiveness not least with its successes in auctions in Germany and abroad.”
