German company Enercon has secured a contract from Turkish renewable energy company Polat Enerji for the supply of wind turbines totalling 110.5MW capacity.
The order will support the expansion of three wind farms across Türkiye, enhancing the country’s renewable energy infrastructure.
Enercon will deliver 17 E-160 EP5 turbines for the Yalova/Göktepe 4 wind farm project, two E-160 EP5 turbines for the Kırşehir/Geycek 3 wind farm project, and two E-82 turbines for the İzmir/Ege 3 wind farm project.
The projects signify a substantial investment in Türkiye’s wind energy capabilities.
Included in the agreement is a comprehensive 15-year operation and maintenance package providing availability and spare parts guarantees for all three sites.
The E-160 EP5 E2 turbine, a model based on the EP5 platform, is particularly suited for medium-to-low wind sites and has a nominal output of 5.50MW.
