Solar trackers manufacturer and supplier Soltec has been contracted to supply solar trackers for a 475MW project in Sao Gonçalo, Brasil.
Under the contract, the company will deliver its SF7 bifacial trackers for the project being developed by renewable company Enel Green Power Brasil Participações (EGPB). Soltec will install 13,728 SF7 bifacial solar trackers and 1,235,520 bifacial modules with 385Wp each.
Soltec Brazil sales manager Héctor Sánchez said: “We have been working on projects in since 2015 and, as of today, we have projects for more than 2,145GW.
“The project in Sao Gonçalo is the largest we have ever worked in the country, reinforcing our position as Brazil’s leading manufacturer and supplier for PV plants.
“In addition, thanks to the installation of bifacial trackers, we will be able to produce more energy optimising the space and reducing the installation time.”
The Brazilian firm will recruit more than 300 new local people during the installation phase and 15 permanent personnel during operation and maintenance of the project.
