Bladt Industries and Semco Maritime have signed an agreement with shipyard CSBC to form a partnership for offshore wind substations in Taiwan.
Under the deal, Bladt and Semco will produce and supply offshore substations in collaboration with the Taiwanese shipyard. The companies have been operating in Northern Europe for more than 15 years and intend to enter the Taiwanese market to develop opportunities for continued growth.

Bladt Industries senior vice-president Lars Kristensen said: “We also want to be an important player in the Taiwanese offshore wind market, and we know that with a strong and reliable partner in Taiwan that has great experience in the fabrication of complex steel structures, our trio will be able to reach new heights in the offshore wind sector.”
The Taiwanese Government is targeting a generation of 5.5GW through the completion of large offshore projects by 2025.
Semco Maritime vice-president Carsten Nielsen said: “This partnership provides a very strong constellation of professional and market leading companies within the industry.”
Since the inception of the company, Bladt Industries has been involved in the fabrication of monopiles and transition pieces for more than 1,500 offshore wind turbines in the European market.
