Description

The project is developed and owned by Wirsol Solar.

Wirsol Lerchenborg Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 80 hectares.

The project generates 60,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 30,000 households, offsetting 87,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $100.586m.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in December 2015.

Contractors Involved

Astronergy was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 248,730 modules at the site.

SMA Solar Technology supplied 1,750 of its Sunny Tripower 25000TL inverters to the project site.

SMA Solar Technology is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
