Description
Waterford 3 is a Generation II nuclear reactor developed by Combustion Engineering, the main contractor for the project.

The PWR reactor generates 7,859GWh/annum of electricity. It features 217 fuel assemblies in the core of reactor, the place where fission occurs and energy is released. Safety contol rods that are used to control the fission rate in the reactor are 42 in number.
