Wan Mi Po is a 240MW hydro power project. It is located on Yuanshui river/basin in Hunan, China. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 2001 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2004.

Description
The project was developed by Wuling Electric Power. China Power International Development, CGN New Energy Holdings and Hunan Xiangtou Holding Group are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 63%, 18.5% and 18.5% respectively.
The hydro reservoir capacity is 378 million cubic meter. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 3 in number. The penstock diameter is 7m. The project generated 699.149 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $245.53m.

Contractors Involved
Toshida Hydro Power (Hangzhou) was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 units of francis turbines, each with 80MW nameplate capacity.
Toshida Hydro Power (Hangzhou)Co.,Ltd supplied 3 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 80 MVA.
